Responsibilities:

For project in Apple Developer Academy, no matter what role that I choose, I have to actively participate in every step of the development process especially the research and user testing.

As a designer, I mainly was in charge in creating a hi-fi prototype of the Asistante application using Sketch. I’m in charge to design the form section for the add task feature. I also got a part for coding in connecting the application with other applications, namely

WhatsApp.

My first group project at Apple Developer Academy is an application about productivity. For this challenge, my team and I made Asistante, an application that is made to reduce procrastination for young adults in their 20s by gamification with leaderboards that can show records and history of successful task and failed to accomplished missions.

In this challenge, I chose to be a UI/UX designer. This is the first time for me to work on designing an app collaboratively with the other designers. Although I was a UI/UX Designer, I also took a part in every stage of application development starting from research to technical development in coding. For this challenge, I mainly am in charge in creating a hi-fi prototype of the Asistante application using Sketch. I’m in charge to design the form section for the add task feature. I also got a part for coding in connecting the application with other applications, namely WhatsApp.

During this challenge, I got to learn a lot of things about design that I’ve never knew before. Since I’m creating iOS app, I have to be aware of the iOS app themes and characteristics. Each element has its own purpose. iOS prioritizes users and their experience. Simplicity and easiness in using app is number one without forgetting about the aesthetic integrity. I learned about Branding (how to sync the color in your app to create a better branding), Terminology (Use the most appropriate choice of word so that everyone can understand).

Speaking about design, my team’s features and design were very overscoping. Actually, I love the idea and the features are interesting. However, we also have to be realistic. We only have less than a week to finish everything. After getting feedbacks from mentors, we decided to eliminate few features, and voila, it gets much better.
